TIPS, How to remove anodized paint from aluminum
Have you ever found a part you needed but was in a color you just could not use?
well heres a tip on how to remove anodized color from aluminum.
You will need a can of easy off oven cleaner. the YELLOW can.
next spray on parts. and leave on no more than 2 minits. Very important. then wash off with water.
you will have to do this several times till paint is all gone. but needs to be done this way so that the alloy does not get damaged by the cleaner. remember 2 minits at a time then wash off. allso you may want to do in a well ventalated area see cautions on can!
when you get most of the paint off you can polish with a good metal polish like brasso, hope this helps.
