TIPS, How to remove anodized paint from aluminum

Have you ever found a part you needed but was in a color you just could not use?
well heres a tip on how to remove anodized color from aluminum.

You will need a can of easy off oven cleaner. the YELLOW can.

next spray on parts. and leave on no more than 2 minits. Very important. then wash off with water.
you will have to do this several times till paint is all gone. but needs to be done this way so that the alloy does not get damaged by the cleaner. remember 2 minits at a time then wash off. allso you may want to do in a well ventalated area see cautions on can!

when you get most of the paint off you can polish with a good metal polish like brasso,   hope this helps.

Tamiya High Lift Ford F350

some more pics .

Kyosho Advance . I restored .

Kyosho Advance .

I made the roof with a mill . shaped the 1/4 alloy rails . made the Alloy servo tray with a mill , rotary tool and file. Wheels are from a Tomahawk. Body from a tamiya club member as so are decals. lights are from the new buggy champ kit. Yes its not completely correct but it looks good . This was my first Advance clone the second one came out much better . Both were sold on ebay as well as the others Assaults.  I lost the pics of all of them but I have seen my work floating around the world wide web.

Tamiya Bruiser with Mountaineer body

This was a Basket case when I bought it . I went thrue every thing replaced beat up Bruiser body with a Hilux body and painted and decaled to look like a Mountaineer.  axles and wheels are from RC4WD.  has a great runnung 3 speed transmission. Tuff scale truck . all metal very heavy. very exspensive to restore.

Tamiya Buggy Champ with Blitzer beetle body

Hi this was a new Tamiya Buggy Champ that I customized, I made a front body mount  so that I could install a Blitzer beetel body on it.   To mount body I had to relocate hole on trunk and drill holes for rear mount on roof allso cover holes on sides for the Blitzer setup.  Installed sand blaster jr tires.

This is my oldest Daughters runner .  If I would have known a re release of the sand scorcher was coming I would have waited.

Clodbuster Chevy body on a Hight lift chassis

Rebodied my sons Tundra High Lift.  he did not like the Toyota so I bought a Clod body on Ebay and installed it in a afternoon.  To do this I had to move rear axle forward and shortin the rear drive shaft. other that that it was a piece of cake.

Tamiya Tundra High Lift

This ones a Tamiya Tundra a put together for my son. I biult it box stock.  its a fine running truck.

Nitro Sand Scorcher

This started as a Kyosho Asault . I used a Tamiya Blizter Bettel body , painted it like a Sand Scorcher.
The chasis was shortend and I made the alloy body mounts.  has a OS CZ12 Nitro engine. I made this buggy about Three years ago and i sold about a year and a half ago . This was made before the ReRe of the Sand Scorcher.  so it was a time comsuming project to get it all together at the time..
